Gabe Montesanti's debut memoir, BRACE FOR IMPACT, is forthcoming in May from The Dial Press. She earned her MFA in creative nonfiction from Washington University in St. Louis. Her piece, “The Worldwide Roller Derby Convention,” was recognized as a notable essay in The Best American Essays. She lives with her wife in Denton, Texas where she teaches creative writing at the University of North Texas.
